Universal United Kingdom Resort July 2026
A major milestone was reached in the Core Zone on 17 July 2026 when vegetation was removed alongside the existing watercourse. The brook is due to be diverted around the edge of the Core Zone, clearing the central development area for construction of Universal United Kingdom Resort.
In mid July 2026, soil stripping started on site with huge amounts of soil stripped from around the archaeological works. This is part of the mass grading of the site, the soil is then being moved over Manor Road into the Lake Zone.
In the Lake Zone, archaeological works continue to reveal the past of the future site of Universal United Kingdom Resort. Whilst huge piles of soil start to appear, soil stripping is also taking place in this area.
